COVID-19 has been an unprecedented challenge for our nation and the hospitals and health care systems that
serve communities across the United States.

We’ve cheered the heroics of nurses, physicians, emergency medical technicians, orderlies, dieticians and other
hospital workers who have cared for their patients under extraordinary circumstances. We’ve applauded the lab
techs and scientists working around the clock to test and develop new innovations and cures. And we’ve begun to
flatten the curve and see a path forward of what will be a new normal for all of us.
